Be careful not to make decisions on technology based on design, assuming changes to functionality are easy.

Doesn’t it seem like a no brainer that Facebook posts should have a way to tell specific friends “I thought of you when I saw/posted this.”

Facebook is such a complete memory hog now, and extremely slow to notify. I don’t see evidence of good planning in the changes made.
Get in the habit of having QA testing as an ongoing activity, not something you have to schedule.
When you QA your Drupal site you need to do every role in every browser. Tedious, I know. Permissions fun.
If you’re trying to hire a Drupal developer and you’re asking about bachelors degrees you might not have a clue.

We had thought about moving to Git, but honestly, most ppl I work with (me too) are much more comfortable with SVN.
The greater a Drupal site’s complexity, the greater it’s fragility and the need for constant testing.
